David Quantick moved to Hastings 5 years ago from London. His reason? “to be somewhere he liked”
Quantick’s most recent project is Veep, the prime-time Emmy award-winning US comedy featuring a female vice-president. But if that isn’t impressive enough, his back catalogue contains some of Britain’s best-loved comedy such as The Fast Show, The Thick Of It, Harry Hill’s TV Burp, Screenwipe, Brass Eye, Smack The Pony, So Graham Norton, Spitting Image and so much more! Born in 1961, his career began in the early nineteen eighties, working on NME alongside Danny Baker. During his time there, David would send in scripts and sketches to TV channels until Armando Iannucci invited him to write for Radio 4’s On The Hour in the mid nineties. The pair still work together today on the aforementioned Veep.
