Seared Rye Bay scallops with local purple sprouting broccoli, black pudding, mashed potato and prawn beurre blanc – £16
Carrot and ginger cake with chai syrup and Bodiam ice cream – £4.50
What we drank:
A pint of Hastings Citra pale ale before dinner (£3.60 a pint) and a bottle of Louis Cañas white Rioja with dinner (£20)
